L'Enfer du Nord Coffee Mug- 11 oz. or 15 oz.

This coffee mug is well suited to helping you enjoy one of cycling's oldest races.  Inspired by one of the oldest cycling races and one of the five monuments of cycling races, the Paris-Roubaix (first held in 1896).  It's nickname is the "Hell of the North" or "L'Enfer du Nord".  In a typical year, it features around 29 sections of cobblestones or pavé which are rated in difficulty on a 5-star rating scale.  La Trouée d'Arenberg is the most difficult and infamous section and strikes fear or at least intimidates with its 5-star rating and length of 2.4 km. In an effort to reduce the slippery effects of the grass that grows between the cobblestones, goats have been brought on to the pavé to graze on the grass.   Interestingly, the Paris-Roubaix is open to amateurs and professional cyclists alike.  Amateurs race on the same course many hours ahead of the pros and can choose to ride either 70 km, 145 km, or 170 km editions!  Our image is inspired by the 2024 edition of the Paris-Roubaix when World Champion Mathieu van der Poel made a 60 km solo breakaway for the win which he launched while in the section of the Trouée d'Arenberg.
